President William Ruto has reiterated Kenya’s commitment to strengthening its diplomatic ties with countries around the world, focusing on promoting economic growth, peace, stability, and cross-border trade.

Speaking at State House in Nairobi on Wednesday , President Ruto highlighted the country’s ongoing efforts to engage with international partners in a way that aligns with Kenya’s aspirations for prosperity and global influence.

“Our warm and solid ties with foreign partners will effectively promote economic growth, enhance peace and stability, and further cross-border trade and investments,” Ruto said.

He emphasized the strategic importance of expanding Kenya’s global diplomatic footprint, particularly in fostering mutually beneficial relationships with both emerging and established international players.

The President’s remarks came as he received credentials from newly-appointed diplomats to Kenya, signaling the country’s readiness to deepen its international relations.

The new ambassadors are Moravia Peralta Hernandez from Venezuela, Alfred Musemuna from Zambia, Vsevolod Tkachenko from Russia, Hiroshi Matsuura from Japan, Sahak Sargsyan from Armenia, and Andris Razans from Latvia.

The ceremony, held at State House Nairobi, marks a new chapter in Kenya’s foreign relations, as the President underscored the importance of diplomatic engagement in securing Kenya’s long-term development goals.

The newly-appointed diplomats will play a key role in advancing bilateral relations between their respective countries and Kenya, particularly in areas of trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
