Victor Radido, the Chief Commissioner of the Kenya Scouts Association, has earned international recognition after receiving the Silver World Award—one of the highest honors given by Scouting America to global contributors.

The award was presented during a formal ceremony in Orlando, Florida, where Radido and fellow Kenyan scout leader Anthony Gitonga were celebrated for their outstanding service and leadership in the scouting movement. The Silver World Award is reserved for non-U.S. citizens who have demonstrated exceptional service to young people through scouting worldwide.

Radido’s recognition places him in the company of Kenyan greats such as Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi, both of whom were previously honored for their efforts in supporting youth and leadership development.

Speaking at the event, Radido thanked his peers and fellow leaders, noting that the accolade belongs to every Kenyan scout and volunteer working to shape the country’s future. He stressed the role of scouting in nurturing discipline, responsibility, and civic duty among the youth.

His achievement not only marks a personal milestone but also brings global attention to Kenya’s ongoing contributions to international youth development.
