The government, through the Ministry of Public Service, is set to establish Huduma Centres in every sub-county and constituency across the country as part of the Bottom-Up Transformative Agenda (BETA) and Kenya Vision 2030.

Principal Secretary for Public Service, Amos Gathecha, announced this plan during the launch of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) services at the Machakos Huduma Centre.

The move will see KISM integrated into 10 additional Huduma centres to enhance service delivery.

Currently, there are 58 Huduma Centres in the country, with plans to expand to all 290 constituencies to ensure that services are more accessible to citizens.

Gathecha emphasized that the integration of KISM services into the Huduma Centres reaffirms the government’s commitment to improving convenience for supply chain practitioners, who previously had to travel to Nairobi to access KISM services.

He also highlighted the role of Huduma Universal Agents, who are trained staff members capable of offering a variety of services on behalf of the Ministry, Departments, and Agencies, further streamlining the delivery of services.
