Gospel artist Linet Munyali alias Size 8 is celebrating her decision of getting saved 12 years ago. She highlighted that the decision didn’t sit well with most people.
“It is now 12 years since i gave my life to Jesus Christ……..God rescued me from the pit of darkness and saved me by His grace yet i was one of the chief of sinners…..His mercy said no to the death of my spirit and degenerated soul….”
“Many said my salvation won’t last even a week thinking that i was holding my own salvation but they underestímated the power of God that is able to save and sustain us in salvation….. i am a living proof that God is real , His mercy is real, His grace and power is real……And He is love! Help me celebrate Jesus Christ my savior…… i am born again ….. NIMEOKOKA!”
Size 8 recalled giving away her car to a friend after receiving salvation. She also changed her name to size 8 Reb orn in 2012.
“When I started in the secular world I had to let go of a lot of things because I didn’t get them from the right channel. So I was given a test to see if I will let got those things and follow Christ. The book of Mark says whatever you leave behind to follow Christ you get 100%…
So everything that came with Size 8 I had to let go… I took my car, log book, keys and called someone and told them ‘kujia gari sahii, log book na keys before I change my mind… The funny thing, the only thing I did hold on to was the money but it went all with my moms’ treatment. I wished I had taken it to some children’s home maybe I wouldn’t have gone through what I had to,”
Another risk that Size 8 took after receiving salvation was giving up the money she earned as a secular artiste. She shared,“I was going to lose money and I was ready for the economic downfall,”
