Celebrated media personality Shiksha Arora has announced her next destination after quitting national broadcaster Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

Arora, known for her flawless dance moves, is set to join TV 47, one of the rapidly growing television stations in Kenya.

In a promo announcing her debut, TV47 introduces the news anchor as the ‘new girl in town’.

In the promo, Arora is captured doing the Gotha Tena challenge before smiling at the camera.

Notably, the media personality’s bubbly demeanor has endeared her to viewers, amassing thousands of followers on her social media accounts.

Arora announced her departure from KBC, where she was hosting the Easy Friday segment, on Friday, July 19, after a three-year stint.

In her departure message, she expressed bittersweet emotions about leaving KBC.

“My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It’s hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years & colleagues who have become like family. Thank you to everyone who joined me on this incredible journey on #EasyFriday on KBC for the past 3 years…This isn’t just the end of a show; it’s just the beginning of a new chapter which I am very excited for,” said Arora.

Before joining KBC, Arora worked at K24, where she spent about three years as a TV host.

She previously had stints at East FM, where she worked as a radio presenter, Radio Africa Group, BBC and Smoke FM in the United Kingdom.

She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster in London and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Nairobi
