Popular Mugithi star and police officer Samidoh Muchoki has downplayed a desertion warrant issued by the National Police Service, joking about the situation during a live TikTok session while on tour in the U.S.

The singer is accused of failing to return to duty on May 27, prompting the suspension of his salary and a search notice by authorities. In response, Samidoh poked fun at the memo, asking, “Who is calling me a desert? I thought dessert was something sweet.”

Joined by his wife Edday Nderitu, the artist brushed off concerns, saying, “No storm lasts forever,” and hinted that any arrest might only happen after his U.S. tour concludes in July.

Samidoh is scheduled to perform in several American cities, including New York and Atlanta. Despite the legal tensions, the singer appears unfazed, leaning on humour and family support as the saga unfolds.
