Samburu County leaders have expressed their worries over the return of a gang of criminals attacking public service vehicles on the Maralal-Opiroi-Baragoi road.
Led by Governor Lati Lelelit, the leaders have urged security agencies to take swift action. They call on police to make a quick move to bring back security on the way, which is not only a means of transport but also a link that towns and traders depend on for their mutual benefit.
Lelelit made it clear that the safety of the people must not be compromised at any time, threatening that the criminal activities might cause the county to lose the way of development and economic growth.
