Thika Road Mall (TRM) management announced a one-day closure on Monday, July 7, due to security concerns linked to anticipated Saba Saba protests.
In a notice issued to tenants on Sunday, TRM Holdings said the decision followed a security advisory from private security firm G4S warning of possible unrest on July 7.
Management emphasised that the closure is purely a safety precaution for tenants, staff, and shoppers.
“Based on the advisory and in light of the potential risks, we have decided to close the mall on that day to ensure everyone’s safety,” TRM CEO Anand Garikipati said in the statement.
Tenants and the public have been urged to direct any inquiries to the mall’s management team.
