President William William Ruto has launched a fierce attack on his critics while vowing decisive action over the ongoing governance crisis at Nairobi Hospital.
In a strongly worded statement, the President dismissed sections of the opposition, accusing them of exploiting the situation for “cheap headlines and attention” instead of focusing on solutions.
Ruto, who serves as Patron of the hospital, assured the public that his administration would not allow what he termed as fraudsters and conmen to undermine one of the region’s leading healthcare institutions.
“The con artists will swiftly face the full force of the law,” the President warned, emphasizing that the hospital was built on integrity, service, and excellence—values he said must be protected at all costs.
The Head of State further pledged to restore order at the facility, insisting that decisive measures would be taken to address the leadership and governance challenges currently facing the institution.
The remarks come amid growing scrutiny over the management of Nairobi Hospital, which has in recent weeks been at the center of public debate, with concerns raised over alleged mismanagement and internal wrangles.
Ruto’s tough stance signals a potential crackdown on those found culpable, even as stakeholders await concrete actions to stabilize the hospital and restore public confidence.
The unfolding situation continues to draw mixed reactions, with some supporting the President’s firm approach, while others caution against politicizing the crisis.
