President William Ruto has reiterated his administration’s commitment to transforming the National Police Service through comprehensive reforms aimed at enhancing professionalism, accountability, and officer welfare.

Speaking at State House, Nairobi, after receiving the End-Term Report of the 2nd National Police Service Commission, President Ruto emphasized that the government has implemented far-reaching changes to establish a motivated and well-resourced police force.

“These efforts have already enhanced recruitment, career progression, discipline, and officers’ welfare,” Ruto stated, underscoring his administration’s focus on a transparent, merit-driven, and accountable security apparatus.

The reforms, he noted, are crucial in strengthening national security and stability while ensuring the police service operates efficiently and effectively in serving the public.

The End-Term Report provides an assessment of the commission’s achievements, challenges, and recommendations for further improving policing standards in Kenya.

The government has recently undertaken several initiatives to enhance the working conditions of police officers, including better remuneration, improved housing, and modernized equipment.

Ruto reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support in fostering a professional force that upholds integrity, discipline, and service to the nation.
