President William Ruto has hit back at Kenyans who make fun of him by calling him names like Kasongo and Zakayo.
Speaking to the people of Busia on Friday, January 24, while on his development tour in Western Kenya, Ruto acknowledged that he was aware of the nicknames but said he was no longer bothered by them.
The Head of State acknowledged the two titles and asserted that his extraordinary intelligence was the reason his detractors had resorted to calling him Kasongo.
He claimed that as long as he achieved the goals for which Kenyans elected him, he was no longer disturbed by the unfavorable remarks.
“You know very well that I have surpassed some of these people with intelligence and now they are coming up with names such as Kasongo,” Ruto stated.
“Even if they call me Kasongo or Zakayo, as long as the government is doing its work, I do not have any problem with it,” he added.
