President William Ruto on Wednesday officially granted a charter to Riara University in a historic ceremony held at State House, Nairobi.
The event marked a significant milestone for the institution, solidifying its status as a fully accredited university in Kenya.
“We are honoured to announce that we have officially been awarded Charter by His Excellency, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of The Republic of Kenya at State House earlier today!,”University said.
During the ceremony, President Ruto honored Riara University’s visionary founders, Mr. Daniel Gachukia and Prof. Eddah Gachukia, with the prestigious Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS) award.
The recognition celebrates their outstanding contributions to education, leadership, and nation-building.
The Gachukias, widely respected for their transformative role in Kenya’s education sector, have nurtured generations of learners through their commitment to excellence.
Their legacy continues to shape the country’s academic landscape, inspiring future educators and leaders.
