A man has been arrested in Naivasha after confessing to killing his wife after a domestic dispute.
The man, a Ugandan national, said he stabbed his wife to death after she cooked omena instead of meat for supper.
After committing the crime on Monday at around 10pm, the suspect flagged a motorist, who was driving along the Gilgil-Naivasha Road and requested a lift to Nairobi.
During their conversation, the man confessed to the motorist what he had done and was escaping arrest.
The motorist, alarmed by the confession, decided to drive towards Naivasha Police Station and handed him to the police.
The suspect was arrested as police launched investigations into the matter.
