President William Ruto has underscored the need for courageous and visionary leadership as the driving force behind Kenya’s transformation, urging leaders to prioritize bold decisions that uplift citizens.
Speaking on Monday during an inspection tour of the Oria Fresh Produce Market in Uriri Constituency, President Ruto said the country’s future depends on leaders who are focused on impactful development.
“Our country can only be changed by bold and visionary leaders who are ready to make the right decisions,” the President said.
He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the Ksh47 million market, which is set to accommodate more than 300 traders upon completion.
The facility is part of the government’s broader plan to modernize trading centers and support small-scale entrepreneurs across the country.
President Ruto said the market will not only improve working conditions for traders, but also enhance food distribution and boost the local economy.
“This project is a reflection of our commitment to economic empowerment and improving the livelihoods of ordinary Kenyans,” he added.
The Head of State reiterated his administration’s focus on bottom-up economic transformation, emphasizing that inclusive infrastructure development is crucial for sustained growth.
