National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah is set to address Kenyans on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, as President William Ruto’s administration approaches four years in office.
Ichung’wah will deliver the “Ruto at Four” Wananchi Address, where he is expected to highlight what the Kenya Kwanza administration considers its key achievements since taking office in September 2022.
The address comes at a critical political moment as attention increasingly shifts towards the 2027 General Election.
Ichung’wah, one of Ruto’s most vocal defenders, is expected to speak about the government’s record in areas including the economy, agriculture, healthcare, education, housing, infrastructure and job creation.
The Majority Leader has repeatedly defended the administration’s policies in Parliament, arguing that the government is delivering on its development agenda.
His address is also expected to respond to growing criticism from opposition leaders, who have questioned Ruto’s record on the cost of living, taxation, unemployment and other issues affecting Kenyans.
The government, however, maintains that its policies are beginning to produce results.
Ichung’wah has previously argued that Kenyans should judge the administration based on facts rather than political claims.
The four-year scorecard is likely to fuel the growing political debate over Ruto’s performance and his prospects ahead of the 2027 polls.
The Majority Leader’s address will therefore provide an opportunity for the administration to make its case directly to the public.
The event is being presented as a live Wananchi Address, with Ichung’wah expected to outline the government’s achievements and explain why he believes Ruto’s record deserves support.
