President William Ruto has arrived in Azerbaijan for the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum taking place in the capital city of Baku.
The Multi-Stakeholder Global Meeting convenes world leaders, policy makers, urban planners and development partners to discuss concrete solutions and partnerships to promote sustainable urban development globally.
President Ruto said Kenya’s invitation to participate in the forum is evidence of the recognition of the country’s rapid ascendancy to becoming a global hub in providing affordable housing and sustainable urban renewal.
“Our invitation, in recognition of Kenya’s leadership in affordable housing and sustainable urban development, is a testament to our commitment to building inclusive cities that expand opportunity and dignity for all Kenyans”
He added that the forum offers an excellent forum for the country to benchmark on urban planning and development with the international partners.
World Urban Forum, the World’s premier conference on urbanisation and sustainable cities, hosting government and stakeholders to set the agenda on future urban lives.
