President William Ruto has reiterated the Government’s commitment to inclusive development through frequent engagements with elected leaders, noting that such dialogue is essential in the successful implementation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

Speaking after a meeting with elected leaders from Turkana County at State House, Nairobi, the President emphasized that no region in Kenya will be left behind in the country’s development journey.

“Frequent engagement with elected leaders is crucial as we implement our Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda,” said President Ruto. “The Government is ensuring that no part of Kenya is left behind as we continue with our journey to transform the country.”

The discussions focused on key development programmes and ongoing projects in Turkana County. President Ruto highlighted the transformative impact of these initiatives, which are aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by the arid and semi-arid region.

The President acknowledged the strategic importance of Turkana in the national development framework, especially in areas such as agriculture, water access, infrastructure, education, and energy.

“Our commitment is to ensure that the people of Turkana—and all Kenyans—benefit from meaningful development that changes lives and opens up economic opportunities,” he said.

The meeting brought together senators, MPs, and other elected leaders from the county, who lauded the President for his direct engagement and pledged their support in aligning county priorities with the national development agenda.
