Rubis Energy Kenya PLC has overtaken Total Energies to become the second-largest Oil Marketing Company in Kenya, according to the latest financial report from the Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
Rubis now holds a market share of 15.56 percent, slightly above the Total Energies, which has 15.06 percent.
Vivo Energy remains the market leader with a commanding 22.24 percent share of Kenya’s energy market.
Following Rubis and Total Energies, Ola Energy ranks fourth with a 5.93 percent of the market share while Be Energy holds fifth place at 4.43 percent.
Total Energies now ranks second.
The top 10 companies also include Galana Energies (2.71%), Stabex International (2.39%), Oryx Energies (2.33%), Lake Oil (2.17%), and Tosha Petroleum (2.17%).
