A new survey has established that former premier Raila Odinga is currently the strongest candidate for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship.
If elections were held today, the poll conducted by Pan African Forum (UK) LTD indicated Raila would emerge a victor.
Of the 3000 African respondents in the survey, 52% backed Raila to clinch the coveted seat in the vote slated for February 2025.
On the other hand, 30% of the sample supported Mahmoud Ali Youssou of Djibouti. Youssou is seemingly Raila’s only competitor.
Richard James of Madagascar garnered 10% of respondents support, while Anil Kumarsingh Gayan enjoyed only 6% support.
