Celebrated Kenyan designer Bolo Bespoke has left fans in shock after he revealed the whopping prices for his custom-made attire, charging as high as Ksh 538,166 for one look.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, the fashion mogul explained that the decision to make his prices public came “due to public demand.” His team had refrained from posting prices all these years, but when enough clients requested them, they obliged — and the internet went talking.
“For the last decade in fashion, we have always shied away from showing the prices of our products. But you, our beloved customers, kept requesting that we show the prices. Lo and behold, we finally did, and the uproar is unreal,” Bolo wrote humorously.
He went on to list the full breakdown of one of his signature looks:
Black Super 250 Scabal Suit – Ksh 499,666
White Poplin Shirt – Ksh 5,500
Black Oxford Shoes – Ksh 12,000
Gold-Coated Stick – Ksh 7,000
Warachi Arabia Perfume – Ksh 4,500
Black Necktie – Ksh 2,500
Silver Neck Tie Pin – Ksh 2,500
Gray Juan Raul Socks – Ksh 4,500
Total: Ksh 538,166
Bolo, known for dressing high-profile personalities, politicians, and celebrities, joked that the prices had always been the same — they had just never been said out loud before.
“You asked for it, and it’s here to stay. Buckle up, juu bei sasa lazima mjue,” he quipped.
The revelation has since elicited a wave of mixed reactions online, with some fans praising his craftsmanship and luxury branding, while others couldn’t believe that anyone would spend half a million shillings on just one outfit.
