ODM leader Raila Odinga has called out President William Ruto’s critics, who are repetitively calling for his removal from office for allegedly not delivering on his manifesto.

Speaking during the burial of Col (Rtd) James Gitahi in Machakos on Saturday, Raila questioned the rationale of demanding Ruto’s ouster, imploring the government critics to give him time to work and deliver on his promises.

The ODM leader insisted that the country cannot be in a politicking mood for a whole five years, saying there is time to work, which is now and President Ruto should be given space to deliver.

He said those unsatisfied with his leadership to wait until 2027, when the county will go into the elections again.

"Mnataka Ruto aende, aende wapi? Ndio nini ifanyike? Hakuna haja. Hatuwezi piga siasa miaka yote tano, nchi haiwezi endelea mbele na hakuna kazi itafanyika. 2027 itafika," said Raila.
