Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has met with leaders from the Iteso community who presented a comprehensive memorandum seeking deeper inclusion and fair representation.
The delegation, led by Teso North MP Oku Kaunya, outlined proposals centered on enhanced engagement, affirmative action, and administrative recognition for the community.
Mudavadi appreciated the unity and clarity of purpose demonstrated by the Iteso leaders, noting their recognition of the efforts being made by President William Samoei Ruto’s administration to ensure that all communities benefit from the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
He emphasized that the presentation reaffirmed BETA as a people-centered blueprint aimed at expanding opportunities, transforming livelihoods, and improving service delivery across the country.
He said that guided by the spirit and letter of the 2010 Constitution, which guarantees equality, affirmative action for marginalized groups, inclusive governance, and fair representation, his office had taken careful note of the concerns and aspirations presented.
Mudavadi assured the leaders that guidance would be provided on a structured, lawful, and coordinated path forward within government systems, complemented by continued personal engagement.
