President William Ruto on Sunday began his tour of Migori County with the launch of several key development initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery, education, and housing in the region.
As part of efforts to strengthen local administration, President Ruto officially opened the Suna West Sub-County Office in Piny Oyie, reaffirming his government’s commitment to bringing services closer to the people.“We are strengthening our local administration to ensure it is fully equipped to serve the people efficiently,” the President said during the event.
In a bid to boost technical skills and youth empowerment, the Head of State also laid the foundation stone for the Suna West Technical and Vocational College. The institution is expected to improve access to technical and vocational training in the area, creating more opportunities for young people.
Additionally, President Ruto broke ground for the construction of the Kehancha Affordable Housing Project in Kuria West. The 298-unit project is part of the government’s broader affordable housing program aimed at improving living standards across the country.“We are implementing a transformative development agenda that will ensure no part of our country is marginalised or left behind,” Ruto stated.
The Migori tour marks another step in the President’s ongoing national development push focused on inclusivity, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
