Over 55 million shillings in bursaries have been disbursed to students in secondary and tertiary institutions within Lurambi Constituency, thanks to the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).

The bursary issuance was presided over by Lurambi Member of Parliament Titus Khamala at Kakamega Muslim Primary School, where hundreds of beneficiaries gathered.

The MP emphasized the transformative role of the NG-CDF in empowering communities through education and infrastructure development.“Our commitment is to ensure no child is left behind due to financial constraints,” Khamala stated. “This fund is not just about numbers; it is about changing lives, building dreams, and investing in the future of our community.”

During the event, MP Khamala also officially handed over a newly constructed classroom to Kakamega Muslim Primary School, further showcasing the constituency’s investment in improving learning environments.

The bursaries are expected to ease the financial burden on parents and guardians while boosting school retention and completion rates in the region.
