President William Ruto has celebrated the immense achievements being realised in the health sector after the launch of the Social Health Authority (SHA).
Speaking on the sidelines of the 2025 Devolution Conference, President Ruto reiterated his government’s commitment to making access to healthcare not a privilege, but a right for all citizens.
With SHA, among other government initiatives, the head of state said Kenya is heading towards universal, efficient and well-coordinated healthcare across the country.
With the successes realised so far, President Ruto quipped that he might extend his expertise to his United States counterpart, President Donald Trump, and teach him how to transform the health sector in the United States.
"We don’t want to make health a privilege but a right for all citizens. We will be able to deliver health in a very effective and comprehensive way. I think we can assist America. I saw Trump struggling. I think we can send some experts," said President Ruto amid laughter from the attending delegates.
