The government is urging more learners to take up Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-related subjects to attain the over 60 percent aspiration.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the School Equipment Production Unit, Dr. Joel Mabonga, learners have often shied away from STEM subjects, with some perceiving them as hard.
Speaking in Meru during the ongoing national music festivals, Dr. Mabonga highlighted the ongoing music festivals, said that the performances by various students are a true testament to the close relationship between creative arts and STEM.
This year, SEPU has sponsored two categories in the festival — choral music and choral verse — to further inspire learners and promote a balance between arts and sciences in education.
