Police in Kayole, Nairobi County, have arrested two suspects and recovered a cache of mobile phones and laptops believed to have been acquired through criminal activities.
The operation was conducted by officers from Soweto Police Station in Kayole Sub-County as part of efforts to crack down on individuals suspected of dealing in stolen property.
According to the National Police Service, officers recovered 10 functional mobile phones, three laptops and 18 assorted non-functional mobile phones during the operation.
The two suspects were taken into custody at Soweto Police Station and are expected to undergo processing before being arraigned in court.
Police said the recovered electronic devices have been secured as exhibits as investigations into their origin and the suspects’ alleged activities continue.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to disrupt networks involved in the handling and sale of stolen property.
The National Police Service said it will continue conducting targeted operations across the country to identify and dismantle criminal networks dealing in illicitly acquired goods.
