A 14-seater matatu ferrying students to school has overturned along Thika Road near Garden City in Nairobi.
It is reported that the matatu was overspeeding when it lost control and overturned, landing on its roof.
There was a swift response from passersby to rescue the students from the wreckage. Those injured were rushed to the hospital.
Notably, the matatu is painted pink in contravention of the mandatory yellow paint required for vehicles transporting schoolchildren.
