Pastor Elias Njau of Jesus Crusaders Ministry Church wanted for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in a domestic altercation has surrendered to authorities at the Nakuru Police Station on Monday morning.

The suspect, who had been on the run since November 22, is accused of attacking his partner with a knife at their home in Kiamunyi.

The victim, who is also his business partner in a local land venture, was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds to her head and hands.

Authorities reported that the suspect turned himself in, accompanied by his lawyer, and is currently in custody at Menengai Police Station.

He is undergoing interrogation as detectives investigate the attempted murder allegations.

The incident occurred after a domestic quarrel escalated into violence. According to the victim’s statement, the two had been arguing before the suspect stabbed her several times.

Neighbors rushed her to the hospital, where she was admitted in stable condition.

Police have launched investigations to determine the motive behind the attack. This comes amid a rise in cases of domestic violence and assault nationwide.

Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, addressed the trend, stating, “While it is difficult to prevent crimes in the heat of domestic disputes, we remain committed to solving these cases and ensuring justice is served.”

He urged the public to resolve conflicts peacefully and warned of severe penalties for those found guilty of violent crimes.

Special task forces have been established to handle complex cases, reflecting law enforcement’s intensified efforts to curb the surge in domestic-related violence.
