Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has stepped into a new role mentor, visionary and cultural architect. Known for her hits performances, Tiwa is now shifting her influence to shape the next generation of African music.
Bringing together 100 young aspiring artists selected from 2,000 applications for vocal coaching, instrumental workshops and masterclasses in the inner workings of the music industry. Tiwa unveiled first cohort of her newly established music foundation, a program designed to give young people access to high-level training that has reached out many.
Partnering with the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the United States, she launched the Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program blending with global expertise with African creativity.
For Tiwa, the move is more than philanthropy; it is about legacy. Ensuring Africa’s musical future is not only vibrant but professionally equipped to compete on international stages, her dream is to bring unique sound and story to light and nurture.
She aims to raise profiles of talented artists who lack visibility due to limited resources in a country marked by social inequalities. “I see so much talent,” she said, referring to skilled musicians forced to practice without regular access to instruments.
Even with the prepared program, she set it to be free; hoping will be accessible to the African people. She also hopes it will be filled with conversations and collaborations that reflect the vibrancy of Africa’s creative future.
