Over 200 Players Set to Compete in KCB East Africa Golf Tour Finale

The KCB East Africa Golf Tour finale, scheduled for Friday at the par-72 Sigona Golf Club in Kiambu County, will feature 230 participants.

The winner will take home a Sh1 million prize and earn a spot at the 2025 Kenya Ladies Open, set to take place at Vipingo Ridge in Kilifi County.

KCB Group’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Rosalind Gichuru, highlighted the success of the 2024 edition, noting that the tournament exceeded its goal of engaging 3,000 participants, including 1,500 juniors.

The Kenyan leg of the series visited various counties, including Kisumu, Nakuru, Nairobi, Mombasa, Nyeri, Uasin Gishu, Kericho, Nandi, Kiambu, Machakos, Kisii, Kilifi, Kakamega, Laikipia, and Trans Nzoia. The tour also extended to Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda.

Sigona Golf Club Captain, Sammy Mwiti, emphasized the importance of the second edition of the tour in providing a platform for aspiring golfers to sharpen their skills and enjoy the sport, further enhancing Kenya’s reputation as a growing hub for golfing excellence.
