Nollywood actor and comedian Arole has triggered social media reactions with a frenzy after his candid opinion about women going out br@ssiere-less to public events.
On a viral post that took no time, Arole referred to the trend as “highly indecent” and asked women to be decent, especially to grand affairs like weddings and birthdays.
”It is so indecent for a lady to step out to a public event and dress-up bra-less, for God’s sake! You see wedding guests bra-less. Haaaaa! Birthday guest bra-less. Bad! Be decent,” he said.
He further clarified that any individual defending br@less fashion movement is also indecent in thoughts. “Any individual who defends br@less outing is also indecent in her mind!” he added.
His remarks were the centre of a heated online discussion. While some fans sided with him, agreeing that moral values and respect have to be upheld at public events, others felt that he was attempting to police women’s bodies.
Fashion trends in recent years have embraced greater risk-taking and daring fashion, with br@less trends being a common sight at red-carpet events, clubs, and social gatherings. To most, it is mostly for comfort, and confidence.
