A raging fire has destroyed property worth millions at the Limuru Country Clubhouse located in Kiambu County.
The fire, which broke out early on Saturday, January 4, consumed the entire clubhouse, which is one of the iconic landmarks in the area having been established in 1945.
Confirming the incident, the club’s chairman, John Keru, said no one was injured in the inferno as no staff, members or guests were present at the time of the incident.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
Following the fire incident, Keru announced the club’s temporary closure to facilitate necessary evaluations.
