Internal Security Minister Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a stern warning to government officials and security officers found covering up or suppressing rape cases in rural areas.
Speaking on Friday at Kitondo Boys’ School in Makueni County during a development tour of Mbooni Constituency, Murkomen expressed concern over the rising incidents of sexual violence targeting women and girls in rural communities.
He stressed that anyone found involved, in any way, whether by committing, concealing or failing to take action, will be dealt with strictly according to the law.
