Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has urged leaders and residents of the Mount Kenya region to firmly rally behind President William Ruto, saying unity is essential for continued development.
Speaking during the Mount Kenya Leaders Caucus at Glee Hotel, Mwaura emphasized that regional cohesion is critical to ensuring that government programmes and projects are successfully implemented.
The high-level meeting brought together Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, parastatal heads, directors, and CEOs from the region, all of whom called for a renewed commitment to working together for the benefit of the community.
Mwaura called on leaders to back the Kenya Kwanza administration and align their efforts with the government’s development agenda. He further appealed to officials to extend their outreach programmes to the grassroots to ensure residents feel the impact of national initiatives.
“Our region must speak in one voice and support the President. Development can only be achieved when leaders are united and focused on delivering for our people,” Mwaura said.
The caucus resolved to enhance coordination among leaders and intensify public engagement across the Mount Kenya region ahead of upcoming national programmes.
