The news of Fredrick Parsayo’s sudden passing has left KBC and the wider media community in shock. The 28-year-old reporter, who worked for the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation’s editorial department, was found dead at his home in Kinoo, Kikuyu Constituency, on Friday, March 21, 2025. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear, and the police have since opened an investigation into the incident.

Agnes Kalekye, the Managing Director of KBC, confirmed the news of Parsayo’s death and expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the board and the staff. “It is with great sadness that we inform you of Fredrick Parsayo’s passing, which occurred on Friday at his residence under circumstances that are still being investigated,” she stated in a message to staff and the public.

Fredrick was remembered fondly by his colleagues, who spoke highly of his work and character. Kalekye noted that Parsayo’s contributions to the newsroom were immense, and his absence would be felt by everyone who had the privilege of working with him. “Fredrick was a dedicated reporter who brought his passion and professionalism to every story. His positive attitude and hard work made him an invaluable member of our team,” she shared.

Following the tragic news, Parsayo’s body was transferred to St. Teresa Mortuary, and his family has been notified. KBC management has extended their deepest sympathies to his relatives and friends.

“Our hearts go out to Fredrick’s family during this difficult period. We will continue to keep them in our thoughts as they navigate this painful loss,” Kalekye concluded.
