Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has sparked a lively online debate following his blunt comments on the language and impact of two Kenyan politicians, Kipruto arap Kirwa and Senator Samson Cherargei.

Sudi, known for his candid remarks, likened the pair’s eloquent speeches to empty rhetoric, saying, “In Kenyan politics, Kipruto arap Kirwa and Samson Cherargei, often seen as political twins, spewing complex English to intrigue and confound. Yet, beneath the polished words, they’re as useless kama mayai ya kuku imetaga.Bure kabisa! —implying that their polished words lack meaningful substance.

The comment drew reactions from various political figures, each offering their own take on Sudi’s critique.

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa playfully responded, “Hii haina comeback bwana Engineer,” indicating there was little to counter in Sudi’s critique.

On a more reserved note, Kiamwangi MCA Kungu Smart questioned the necessity of Sudi’s statement, asking, “Hujambo Mheshimiwa? Is this necessary?”

Meanwhile, Councillor Njohi commented on Sudi’s evolving command of English, humorously noting, “Your English is getting better with age. Inamea kama mvi… I almost thought I am reading PLO Lumumba’s page.”

Sudi’s comment has stirred a range of reactions online, with some applauding his boldness while others questioned the need for such sharp words among leaders. In typical Kenyan fashion, the banter highlights the unique interplay of language, humor, and political rivalry within the country’s political scene.
