Detectives investigating the murder of lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu have recovered a motorcycle allegedly used to ferry the suspected gunman to and from the scene of the fatal shooting.
The recovery follows the arrest of three suspects, including Nicholas Lemiso Naula, a boda boda rider suspected of transporting the gunman on September 9, 2025, when Mbobu was killed.
According to investigators, Naula told detectives during interrogation that he was riding motorcycle registration number KMGL 516L on the day of the shooting.
Detectives subsequently traced the motorcycle’s movements through several successive owners before locating and recovering it. The motorcycle was later escorted to the Homicide Offices for forensic and further examination.
Upon being shown the motorcycle, Naula reportedly identified it as the one he had used to transport the suspected gunman during the attack.
The recovery is expected to provide investigators with additional evidence as they reconstruct the events surrounding Mbobu’s killing.
It comes after detectives arrested the suspected gunman and two boda boda riders and recovered other motorcycles allegedly linked to the attack.
Investigators are continuing efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the murder and identify all individuals suspected to have been involved.
