Moi Air Base Primary School held a colorful award ceremony to celebrate its national victory at the 63rd Kenya National Drama and Film Festival, where it was crowned Best Lower Primary School in the Choral Verse category.
The event, presided over by Major General Fatuma Ahmed, Commander of the Kenya Air Force (KAF), brought together teachers, parents, students, KDF personnel, and education stakeholders at the school grounds.
The school’s winning piece, “Hadithi Yetu”, captivated judges and audiences with its strong storytelling and artistic excellence. During the celebration, pupils showcased their award-winning performance, alongside traditional dances and other creative displays.
Major General Ahmed commended the young performers for their talent and discipline, emphasizing the importance of holistic education.
“Let us continue to soar to greater heights like eagles,” she said in her keynote address.
Brigadier Bernard Oluoch, Moi Air Base Commander, praised the school’s integration of performing arts into academics, while Headteacher Pauline Njoroge credited the success to teamwork, preparation, and strong support from the KAF community and parents.
The event also featured awards for outstanding pupils and recognition of the school’s Drama and Creative Arts Department, reinforcing Moi Air Base Primary’s growing reputation as a hub of artistic and academic excellence.
