On May 28, 2025, Moi Air Base (MAB) Commander Brigadier Bernard Oluoch and Kenya Space Agency Board Chair Ambassador Major General (Rtd) Joff Otieno led a major tree-planting exercise at Konza City, planting 7,000 seedlings.
The initiative, supported by MAB, KSA, and Konza Technopolis, aligns with the government’s target of 15 billion trees by 2032. MAB, which has already met its annual goal of 100,000 trees, is developing a 43-acre “MAB Green Park” at Konza.
Brigadier Oluoch and Ambassador Otieno lauded the joint effort, calling it a symbol of unity and commitment to climate resilience and sustainable development.
