Uasin Gishu

An unusual and dramatic scene unfolded on Thursday afternoon at a guest house in Huruma, Turbo Sub-county, when two lovers reportedly became physically stuck together during sexual intercourse and had to be separated by a traditional healer.

According to a police report filed at Huruma Police Station under OB number 29/18/7/2025, officers responded to a distress call made around 3:30 pm from members of the public through the Uasin Gishu County police control room. The incident occurred at Huruma Guest House, located approximately 3 kilometres west of the station.

Upon arrival, police officers found a man and a woman lying on a bed, visibly in pain and crying out for help. Their genitals were reportedly inseparable, prompting immediate action by the officers, who carried the couple—still conjoined—on a mattress to Uasin Gishu County Hospital.

However, medical personnel at the hospital did not proceed with treatment after a traditional witch doctor appeared at the facility. The healer claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that she had been hired by the woman’s husband to expose infidelity. She requested to perform rituals to undo the spell that had allegedly caused the physical binding.

Police allowed the healer to take the couple to her home in Miti Moja, where she carried out traditional rites. The two were eventually separated without further complications.

The woman later identified herself as Shyreen Kubaro, a 32-year-old from Nandi Hills, while the man gave his name as Julius Luchenche, 35, from Kapsoya. Both were reported to be in stable condition and did not require further medical attention.

Police are treating the case as an unusual but non-criminal incident.
