Are you a KCSE candidate who scored a D or C grade? If yes, you are given a second chance to join a medical school. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened the application portal for the KMTC admission for the March 2026 intake.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, March 3, KUCCPS announced that the application portal for the 2026 intake was open to all KCSE candidates who scored at least a D grade. This is to ensure that no students are left out.
“This application targets KCSE holders who have not been placed at KMTC, including those who applied in January 2026 but were not successful,” read the notice.
The courses that are available include:
- Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Nursing-related courses
- Pharmacy
- Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Radiography and Imaging
- Physiotherapy
- Public Health
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Community Health
- Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine
- Occupational Therapy
- Health Records and Information Technology
- Emergency Medical Technology
- Optometry
- Dental Technology
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Health Insurance Management
- Other options: Mortuary Science, Medical Engineering, Medical Social Work, Community Oral Health, Health Promotion

According to KUCCPS, this reopening of the application portal aims at widening access to medical training and meeting the rising demand for medical professionals in Kenya.
How to apply:
- Go to the KUCCPS website at www.kuccps.ac.ke
- Click on the Student’s Portal
- Login using your KCSE details
- Check the KMTC programs
- Select the application tab and continue with the application process
Applicants are encouraged to apply before the system closes on March 13, 2026.
