One woman has died after being run over by a truck while boarding a ferry at the Likoni Crossing Channel in Mombasa.
The Friday, December 13 accident, which occurred around 7.15pm, left another man nursing serious injuries.
In the incident, the lorry, which was carrying building blocks, was descending the mainland ramp toward the ferry when its driver lost control and struck the two.
The injured man, who suffered multiple fractures on both legs, was rushed to Likoni Sub-County Hospital for treatment, while the deceased lady was taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary.
The killer lorry, a Mitsubishi FH, was towed to Likoni Police Station pending investigations.
