Former minister John Koech is dead
Reports of Koech’s death emerged on Monday, April 8.
He served as the Minister for East African Regional Cooperation during former president the late Mwai Kibaki’s reign from 2006 to 2007.
He also served as the Minister of Public Works during former president the late Daniel Moi’s tenure from 1988 to 1989.
Still in his political career, Koech served as Chepalungu Member of Parliament from 1979 to 1990 and then from 2003 to 2007.
He was born in 1946 in Olbutyo, Chepalungu, Bomet County.
