Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called out his predecessor, Rigathi Gachagua, for allegedly inciting the Central Kenya residents against President William Ruto and his allies.
Speaking in Mbeere North on Sunday, January 5, Kindiki, for instance, accused Gachagua of inciting Embu residents who refused to listen to Ruto’s speech during a funeral and heckled the president’s allies when they stood to make their remarks.
The DP called out Gachagua for creating divisions among Mt Kenya residents instead of offering solutions to their needs.
“You can’t be a leader who listens to the people’s grievances, then cries and complains without offering solutions. All you do is fuel anger and frustration,” Kindiki said in reference to Gachagua.
Kindiki put on notice leaders fueling divisions while asking for mutual respect.
"If you are angry with your issues, don’t bring it to us. Please let us respect each other and I repeat, let us respect each other. I have given you my respect but you must also respect me," Kindiki added.
