Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring a balanced and equitable development in the entire country, emphasizing that no region will be neglected in the execution of flagship national programmes.
Addressing members from Irunduni in Tharaka Nithi County on Sunday, Kindiki informed the residents that the government has decided to spread the investments in infrastructure like roads power markets healthcare education, among others, equally to the areas of the country to boost the pace of economic activities and raise the quality of life.
The Deputy President reiterated the government’s continued efforts for Kenya’s transformation via targeted investments and inclusive growth that will result in better living conditions for all citizens.
“The Government continues to pursue an equitable and inclusive development agenda that leaves no part of Kenya behind.” said Kindiki
He further announced that the government will launch a national conversation next week to shape a long-term vision aimed at taking Kenya from a developing economy to first-world economic status.
Kindiki expressed satisfaction with the progress being made in implementing development projects and thanked residents for their continued support during his afternoon engagement in Irunduni, noting that public participation remains critical in shaping the country’s future development agenda.
