Harambee Stars defender Dennis Ng’ang’a has lodged a complaint with FIFA’s Players’ Status Committee against Zambian club Zanaco FC, demanding full payment for the remaining 18 months of his contract after terminating the agreement for just cause.
Ng’ang’a is pursuing approximately Sh5 million in unpaid wages.
The dispute arose when Zanaco registered a different player to meet their foreign quota just before the season started, replacing Ng’ang’a only two months after he signed a new contract in July, which was supposed to keep him at the club until 2026.

The Lusaka-based Zanaco FC.
Ng’ang’a faced a difficult pre-season due to an injury sustained while playing for the club, claiming that Zanaco did not provide adequate medical care, which ultimately led to his exclusion from the squad for the season.
With the assistance of his lawyer, Yakub Kizilkaya, Ng’ang’a initiated the termination of his contract based on legal precedents from the Court of Arbitration for Sport and FIFA.
Ng’ang’a joined the Lusaka-based club as a free agent before the last season, after an impressive run with Gor Mahia, where he was recognized as one of the top defenders in the 2022-23 season.

Before his time at Gor Mahia, he played for several clubs, including Nairobi City Stars, Tusker FC, KCB FC, and Wazito FC.
