The Kenya Table Tennis Association (KTTA) has secured a three-year sponsorship deal worth Ksh21 million with Indian sports equipment manufacturer STAG.
This partnership, announced on Sunday, will provide KTTA with essential table tennis gear through 2028.
The deal includes branded attire, tables, rubbers, bats, balls, shoes, surrounds, and other necessary equipment, all aimed at supporting the development of the sport in Kenya.
KTTA President Andrew Mudibo, speaking from Doha, Qatar where the agreement was finalized, expressed enthusiasm about the deal’s potential to elevate table tennis in Kenya.
“We are thrilled to sign this partnership with STAG until June 2028. As a globally recognized brand, STAG will inspire countless young Kenyan athletes to unlock their full potential and help develop the next generation of elite players,” Mudibo said.
He added that the sponsorship would extend to Kenya’s youth programs, ensuring young athletes have access to top-quality sports gear and training equipment.
“STAG’s dedication to equipping players at all levels will be vital in our efforts to cultivate future champions,” Mudibo noted.
STAG, a leading sports equipment manufacturer with a strong presence in Europe and Asia, has supplied gear to various international table tennis federations.
STAG CEO Vivek Kohli expressed his excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the company’s commitment to supporting athletes across all levels.
“At STAG, we are passionate about working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. This collaboration with the Kenya Table Tennis Association will help us reach both elite athletes and those from less-privileged backgrounds, fostering enthusiasm for the sport throughout the country,” Kohli said.
He also highlighted STAG’s dedication to contributing to youth development in Africa, ensuring that young talent receives the necessary equipment and support to thrive in the sport.
