Kenya has partnered with the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition to boost the country’s ability to combat Terrorism financing and money laundering.
The partnership officiated in Nairobi will include specialised training courses.The Counter Terrorism Financing training will enable stakeholders involved in combating terrorism to detect and disrupt illicit financial flows that support the lifelines of terrorist organisations through a combination of legal knowledge, modern technologies and international cooperation.
The training slated for December 2025 will include representatives from legislative and executive bodies, financial and regulatory institutions, and civil society organisations.
With increasing threats posed by extremist groups, particularly along its borders, the collaboration with IMCTC is expected to enhance Kenya’s resilience and operational readiness.
