Kenya is shifting its digital transformation focus towards governance and trust, ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has said.
Speaking in Mombasa during the ISACA Kenya Chapter 2026 Annual Conference, Kabogo stated that the country must now prioritize accountability in its digital growth.
“Kenya stands at a critical juncture in its digital transformation and the priority must evolve… to strengthening governance, accountability, and building sustainable trust,” he said.
He noted that initiatives such as the expansion of the national fibre network and the eCitizen platform had already improved access to services, with thousands of institutions and over 23,000 government services now online.
Kabogo added that upcoming discussions at the Connected Africa Summit in Nairobi would further shape the future of digital governance.
